- How Truck Hunters Hunt for Wildlife. They ride up and down the road hunting from the window of their vehicle which is illegal here in North Carolina. It's illegal to shoot. Although this guy didn't shoot you could tell he was truck hunting.The sad thing is most of these people don't even have a license. These are also the kind of people that hunt year round!It makes me want to become a game warden so I can set up a dummy deer close to the road and then bust them when they shoot at it... lol
