  • YOUR HOLLIDAYS in Bolivia with Michael Blendinger Nature ToursVisit www.discoveringbolivia.com or contact us please info@discoveringbolivia.com...Breakfast and last dive in the cascades or birdwatching in the gardens. Up the road again stopping at chullpas between indigenous Aymara's farms. The way of Viacha is as good for close-up water birds pictures, as Laja, first foundation of La Paz, is interesting because of the Church, constructed partially with stones from Tiwanacu site, Bolivia's most Important archaeological site at which we'll have picnic. PM: Visit the museum, featuring monumental stone figures, thousands of ceramic and stone pieces from different periods, patterned costumes and shaped skulls as well. Visit to the ruins of this ancient civilization, declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, focusing on the sun gate, monoliths, stone figures, pyramid and stone courtyard of this huge ceremonial and urban center with several temples and palaces. Afterwards we go to Copacabana, surrounding the Titicaca Lake while enjoying the splendid views to the snow capped Cordillera Central and the way of life of the Aymara's people, also ferrying by wooden raft across the strait of Tiquina. Sunset from our hotel, probably La Cúpula, where we'll have dinner too (3850 m.a.s.l.).
