  • 10 - 14 February 2007 A montage of Team Dumb & Dumber crossing the Sahara on the Plymouth - Banjul old banger rally in their £300 Peugeot 205, with new friends "The Life Mechanics" in their scrapyard refugee Jeep Cherokee. Filmed mainly in Mauritania, between Nouadhibou and Nouakchott, we used the tarmac road so we could deliver our cars in good condition. As you can see, not much traffic for the only road between a country's 2 biggest cities! The black stuff on the left of the road in the latter half of the clip is the remains of plastic netting, a vain attempt to stop dunes marching westwards across the road. All cars (and contents) are donated to charity on arrival in Gambia. A nice cold Gazelle beer was waiting at our next rendezvous in Senegal!
