Chapter 2- Parades, Celebrations, and Baby Playtime

  • - It's a great day for a parade! This home movie shows a Shriners' parade. The Shrinners drive classic cars is their recognizable hats. Clowns visit with the parade watchers. Then the Shrinners come on their motorcycles. Elephants and horses make appearances in the parade. Beauty queens ride on floats. And a marching band in full costumes play for the crows. There is a very interesting jumbo bumble bee float. Another float shows Snoopy and the Three Pigs. These floats look similar to the floats in the Rose Parade. They all seem to be made of flowers and other living things.The family all plays accordions and dances in the living room. Then the family drives through a wild life park and gets to see some rare animals up close such as elephants. There is a roller coaster through the part as well. One lucky child gets to ride on a small horse. Even the horse has a cowboy hat! The next scene shows a family gathering together around the table possible waiting for aThen next scene is of a baby's first bath. After the bath, its lunch time for the baby in a high chair.The next scene shows a car race. The race cars are going around a track with a large group of people watching them. We're back to the baby now and is sitting in a bay crib. Then a visit from the family dog (maybe a Labrador?) is always fun for the kids. Everyone appears to be sitting around a large table waiting for a meal. The man at the head of the table gets a "Pebbles Flintstone" hair do! The youngest member of the family seems to be confused by the new style!A small baby on the floor plays on a blanket with a teddy bear and then crawls around the room to greet all of the guests. Them, it's bath time for the baby. Next we see the baby playing on the kitchen floor. It looks like tuperware can be more fun to play with! Back in the living room now, the baby plays with toys on the loving room floor, such as blocks. The family gathers together again for a big meal. And it looks like they are celebrating a birthday! Again, it's back to bath time where bath time is play time! Bath toys provide fun entertainment while in the tub!Another birthday but this one takes place in the great outdoors! Kids play in the lawn and adults are sunbathing. Kids are riding on tricycles and racing in the yard. Then we get to see the family kitty cat! The children play with the cat as well. Then it's the ever popular living room activity- playing horse with dad!Then it's Christmas as everyone is waiting around the tree for their presents. The kids receive a balls and clothes. Finally it looks like everyone is waiting around the table for food. The baby receives a drum. Then she gets a rid in her red wagon! Finally, the family takes a trip to a park. There are lovely flower gardens, merry-go-rounds, a doll house, a three bears, peter rabbit, a train, a swing, a slide,Finally, it looks like everyone has gathered for the baptism of the newest member of the family. I am guessing because of the pretty baptismal dress that the baby is wearing.
