  • Named after and dedicated to Gram Parsons, Gram's Place down in Tampa, Florida is a great hostel with an international flair. We stayed there in late April of 2006. It's two houses connected, shaded by large trees, has several wooden platforms on top of the roofs where you can chill, and got several double, group and bunk bed rooms, common kitchen and showers, a jacuzzi, bar area, and, most importantly, an old upright piano, several guitars and, saved the best for last: It is owned and operated by Mark Holland, a cool 50 year old music fan, who has a very local, but also very good private little radio station that plays a lot of Americana, Folk, Country and Rock. It's an inexpensive, great little place to hang out, make music and a great base camp to hit the beaches from. I put a little video together to the music of Gram Parsons: "She" and "The Return Of The Grievous Angel". This is Part 2.All the best, Mark!
