  • Happy New Year to my dear subscribers and all viewers .... I have at last found refuge with a warm bed, friendly people, & Wi Fi strong and free--unlike the, errr, St. Christopher's Inn at London Bridge, where they advertise the Wi Fi as a free-at-last amenity, only to soak you the captive audience into a GBP 13-per-day signal that was so stop-and-go, that it took me through a dozen failed attempts the whole night after the O2 concert just to upload "Good Times, Bad Times" and "Stairway to Heaven."At the Flying Pig here (and the two other locations as well) the staff always cares about what you're up to, and smiles at you as they clean your room, the kitchen, one chill-out room and another chill-out pad even when you're sleeping till 4PM because you're recovering from jetlag from Australasia or North America. Even when you've slept all day and wake up at 3AM cause your body clock tells you that you can't sleep any more, there is always a room to hang out with other like-minded travellers--or smokers?--so you're never alone :-) Any wonder that this is my fifth Christmas and New Year's at the Flying Pig Downtown? :-)Oh, by the way, normal concert videos should resume by mid January! Happy New Year to yawl, too!
