- Our country was formed by a group of dissenters. From their revolt against tyranny, sprang forth the greatest and most powerful nation on Earth committed to freedom. Recent history has turned a blind eye to the founding spirit of our nation, treating anyone who is critical or questioning of our leaders' policies as being unpatriotic. American Patriots embrace the ideals of our nation's history, in an effort to stay TRUE to the founding principles as stated in the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. A True Patriot is able to look at themselves and their country critically, not merely with blind devotion. A True Patriot can see the wrongs committed by their nation, yet remain devoted to that nation, and strive to make it better still.
