  • 1966 IH . 2 feet of fresh snow and my 14 year old beagle is riding shotgun. Chains on all 4 tires. 22 degree slope. 49" dia IROCS, Detroit Lockers front & back, Rockwell FDS 75 front axle (13.25" ring gear) Spicer N175 rear axle (16" ring gear), FABCO tc38 transfer case (6000 ft-lb input torque & 2" dia shafts), Eaton Fuller FS7206A 6 speed manual (1.75" input shaft, 2" output shaft and low gear is 9 to 1 ratio), 502 chevy crate motor with Holley throttle body fuel injection. 12K Ramsey winch on front, 8K Ramsey on back, 70 gallon fuel cell built by FuelSafe to my prints, frame built from scratch of 3" x 8" x 1/4" rectangular steel tubing. 10 stud (3/4" dia fine thread) budd rims at 11.25" bolt circle, 20" dia, 14" wide from Stockton Wheel to my prints. 14" dia Eaton Fuller Clutch, 800 ft-lbs, SAE #2 adapter built to my prints on back of big block will accept any SAE #2 tranny. U Joints are all 1710 series in driveshafts. Driveshaft are all 4" OD 3/16" wall. Hydraulic steering from 3" dia ram with 12" stroke. Brake Master Cylinder is IH Hydro Boost from 4000 series IH truck with DC Servo backup in case engine fails (i.e. you have brakes as long as you have a decent battery voltage). Brakes are "stock" for the axles (i.e. these huge brakes come with these huge axles) and are 15.25" dia disc on all 4 corners. Camper section built to my prints. 1" thick closed cell insulation all around plus 4" open on the bottom. 12,000 BTU RV furnace. 25% duty cycle at 3 below outside and 65 F inside. Sleeps mama and I and two old beagles just fine!
