- this is the 3rd song on MR's solo album "the dark chapter" released in 1994. i've been practicing this song for about 5 days straight, and i'm happy with the results so i decided to upload it. this video is dedicated to my friends from silent edge for introducing me to this amazing guitarist and amazing band http://www.silentedge.com/ ...i really hope that we can play together again one day... fuck, i miss those days! (maybe i can take emo's spot!! just joking... i've never seen anybody play guitar like you do, bro)i didn't use any tabs, but i want to explain what's going on in the song if you are interested in figuring it out:the opening arpeggio's are a combination of E, E/G# and Bdim. you can learn the cadenza that follows from MR's instructional video. then, he plays in F# blues minor. the arpeggio at 1:39 is a Dm7 and the lick goes back to Dm.the lick that starts at 1:47 is in Dm followed by a little Bb arpeggio, and finishes with an F arpeggio. the hammer on part at 2:19 has the following chords F#m (F#-A-C#), D (F#-A-D), C7 (C-D#-F#), C#m (C#-E-G#), G (G-B-D), and Gdim (G-Bb-Db). the arpeggio's that follow are all in major scales and descend chromatically starting from F and end in D.the scales at 2:55 are in Bm, and Dm pentatonic. the lick at 3:18 is in Bm followed by an yngwie lick in the same key. the last scale is in Dm pentatonic. the last set of chords of the song are all in minor keys, Bm, Dm, Fm, G#m, and ends in Bm with a raised 7th.amazing song... i hope you enjoy it!lineup:Michael RomeoMichael Pinnella (not on this song)all electric and acoustic guitars, bass, keyboards, drum programming abd guitar synthesizer are played by michael romeo.
