- My narrative features three main characters: the boy Elijah, the mother Cassandra (alter ego: Ardnassac), and the masked antagonist Akako. Cassandra is a historical-recreation actor and walks home with her son Elijah every night. Their path home takes them by a dark alley, which is haunted by the child-stealer Akako (Akako was a servant of Hades in Greek mythology). Akako decides it is time for another bride to help him lure children into his dark corner of the world, and so one night Cassandra is compelled to investigate the alleyway. She turns a corner and when Elijah goes to catch up, discovers that she has vanished.Elijah, try as he might for someone his age, cannot find his lost mother. Later he discovers she has been corrupted into something else entirely. Not only is she a hollow version of the kind woman he once knew, but as Ardnassac, she's been participant of unspeakable horrors...
